so much lettuce

today for petrology we went to Diamond Valley and it was so gorgeous. I'm so lucky that I get to have class outside most of the time. (although, sometimes it's hard to focus)
but on the way there, the topic of gardens came up and when we asked my professor if he had a garden he went on to tell us how him and his wife have a huge garden that includes 50 different types of lettuce....... WHAT THE HELL!!!???? who does that? i was laughing so hard, i mean who thinks that would be fun?? Geologists are so weird, who needs that many?
