So, i just came back from thanksgiving dinner at my aunt's house in los angeles. We celebrated two days late because my mom and my aunt had to work thursday and friday. There was 30 people there and i knew all of them.... except for this one kid (but I will come back to that story). It was so nice to catch up with all my cousins and of course, like every year, we took a cousin picture on the couch.
It gets harder and harder to fit all of us on the couch these days and its gotten kind of awkward when they let all the boyfriends and girlfriends join the picture. but we never fail to laugh our heads off at all of our parents trying to make us laugh and fight over who's turn it is to take the picture... i mean they all want to take six pictures on their camera... but wouldn't it be smarter to just take one good picture on one camera and email it to everyone??? hahaha regardless its hilarious and at the end we all feel like we were an attraction at the zoo.
so now for the story about the one kid i didn't know. Aunt Wendy's friend from work (that i've met before) came to dinner but this year brought her 14 year old son. The poor kid knows absolutely NO ONE and when i got there he was just standing in the corner pretending to look at paintings on the wall...... but somehow, he was getting alcohol from someone because by the end of the night he was still standing in the corner but drunk out of his mind and he was talking to the paintings on the wall. it was so sad and funny. sam and i laughed all night every time we saw him having a conversation with some candles.
